AcWriMo--Academic Writing Month. That's right, my current WIP is still the fiber arts (paper!). It's just that this time, it's a book!
For this month, I'm hoping to track my word count somewhere. I couldn't think of how/where to make it public and track it (accountability matters to me. I'm an obliger, which means I need to hold myself accountable to others). My efforts to make my count public via facebook is only sort of working, though it's mostly just confusing to people for me to post a number. So I decided to dust off the old blog, link to a google doc, and post my progress via spreadsheet here. The information is going to be somewhat incomplete because I didn't of it until now.
For those wondering, AcWriMo is a play on NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing month) meant to be flexible for supporting the needs of Academic Writing Projects. We set our own goals and go with them (an entire "novel" equivalent is not realistic given the kind of documenting/sourcing, etc. that goes with my own work).
So, I'm inserting a spreadsheet here, with minimal data provided, but my hope is to hit 10k words this month, which would be a complete chapter, and the start of a second one. There won't be time for editing as I go, but if I can just get the words on the page, it would be a great accomplishment.
